Klutz Design is a small company - with big ambitions. It means that we won't compromise on the quality of the individual pieces that make up our products, nor the craftmanship of building them. Equally, it also means that we take great care in finding the right stores to sell our products in.

We will during 2010 qualify a number of stores across the world, that are going to sell the Ballerina Sweetspot - and we will communicate these on this site, as we sign them on. Until then, sales are handled directly by Klutz Design.

Production of the Ballerina Sweetspot was planned to start in early january 2010. However, with the final changes to the design (and in particularly the metal work of the legs), we have had to qualify a new ironworks / foundry. This will take place during March 2010.

If you already now know that you wish to buy your own Ballerina Sweetspot, please mail us at iwanttobuy@klutzdesign.com. Each registered "purchase intention" will be returned with a specific production number - equivalent to the serial number (that also will be etched onto the neckplate of the chair) once it goes into production.

As production is limited, we work after a first-come-first-serve basis.

In order to secure your place in the production, a pre-payment of 25% of the sales price will have to be paid upfront. This first pre-payment is refundable for any reason and is deposited with a 3rd party. Once your specific chair goes into production - with your made-to-order options (colour of leather / aluminium and isolation solutions), another 25% will be charged. The final 50% will be charged at time of shipment as well as the additional shipping costs.

We expect the Recommended Retail Price (RRP) to be approx SEK 50 000 (€5 500) incl. Swedish VAT (25%) and excluding shipping costs - pending final design and material sourcing. We are not, per definition, seeking a "high end price". But the small productionseries and our wish for a high level of craftmanship made in Sweden - results in high production costs. We expect the final RRP will be communicated by April 2010.
